In June of 2021, The Hope Center for Kids dedicated the former Hope Skate facility to the memory of late Hope founders Ty & Terri Schenzel. The Schenzel Community Center will have daily hours of operation, offering activities for children, youth, families, adults and seniors, as well as community events.

SENIOR CITIZENS PROGRAM

Tuesdays & Thursdays | 10 AM - 1 PM (Food provided)

Hours of operation

The Schenzel Community Center is currently open for the following events and Village Basketball Alliance games. Contact Anthony Garrett-Harris to learn more about program offerings or renting the facility.

Membership

The Schenzel Community Center hosts several weekly events. All attendees must have an active membership and meet the event’s age requirements. A parent/legal guardian is required to sign applications for members 18 years old and younger.

Schenzel Community Center exists to support both The Hope Center for Kids and the North Omaha community with low-cost, community-centric programs, and of course, roller-skating - that isn’t going away!
