E3 Campaign Update
UPDATE! 2-21-12 This week, construction workers hope to demo one section of exterior wall each day this week! The framing for the main entrance area is up, and we are waiting on steel to begin building the mezzanine in the former pool room!
A video recap, via MCL Construction, of our groundbreaking ceremony.
CONSTRUCTION
Construction began on January 9th! The south side of the building will be shut down until construction is complete in 140 days. During that time, please enter through Hope Skate.
The groundbreaking ceremony on January 27, 2012 was a wonderful celebration. Encouraging words were given by Governor Dave Heineman, Councilman Ben Gray, Felicia Rogers of Lee Terry’s office, Gail Braun of the Mayor's office and our board president, Mike Homa. If you were here you saw that all internal walls set to be demolished were already down. The construction crew is working hard and there's no doubt that the Academy will be ready as scheduled.
